Issues Involving the Legal System

Sometimes before a family even realizes there is a problem, issues have escalated to the point that the legal system has become involved with their adolescent child. This can be extremely intimidating and upsetting for a family. They have been shocked by an event and now decision-making appears out of their hands. While the family may at times feel that jail will be the reality the child needs, it is rarely an appropriate answer and may exacerbate the problem. We have a lot of experience dealing with adolescents and the legal system and can assist the family in assessing the situation and making the most informed choices.
